Description

A sea lane, sea road or shipping lane is a regularly used route for vessels on oceans and large lakes. Sea lanes are very important for trade by sea.

MSP Challenge

The Shipping Routes layer is a static data layer. Shipping Routes are point-by-point lines that you can draw in, edit or remove when making a plan.

The shipping simulation takes drawn-in Shipping Routes into account in its month-by-month calculation of where the ships go when travelling from port to port.
