Shipping Routes |
Description:
A deep water route is a route in a designated area within defined limits which has been accurately surveyed for clearance of sea bottom and submerged obstacles to a minimum indicated depth of water. This is particularly important for ships with a deep draft, e.g. heavy tankers.
MSP Challenge 2050:
The Shipping Routes layer is a static data layer. Shipping Routes are point-by-point lines that you can draw in, edit or remove when making a plan.
The shipping simulation takes drawn-in Shipping Routes into account in its month-by-month calculation of where the ships go when travelling from port to port.
