Description:

Sharks and Rays fall under the group of ‘Elasmobranch’. In fact, species abundance data of this group can be found in EMODnet Biology, data available as a tif file under the folder ‘SharksRaysAbundance’. Original netCDF file with other species groups, Elasmobranches fall under the name group 4. In personal communication with Peter Herman, indeed it is recommended to view impact on biodiversity based on species groups as opposed to looking at specific species abundance.
