North Sea Digitiwn Edition

In the North Sea Digitwin Edition, the areas where there is identified interest to develop wind farms, are called "Wind Farms - Designated Areas". This data layer is based on the data layer from the North Sea Edition but with updated data for the Netherlands EEZ using data from Rijkswaterstaat. Last update was carried on 2021/06.

In this edition there is also a geodata layer indicating areas of potential suitability for wind farm development - "Wind Farms - Areas of Search". The source of that information is Rijkswaterstaat (WMS link) and was accessed on 2019-10.

In the Baltic Sea the potential areas for wind farm development are called "Potential Wind Farms (RI.SE)".

The Potential Wind Farms (RI.SE) are areas with potential for wind energy production in the Baltic Sea, according to Baltic LINes project output provided directly by the project's partners (SwAM, RI.SE). For more info see the full report here).
